Moss Wood Cabernet Sauvignon

Moss Wood 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon – Bob Campbell,

Points: 95
Rating: 5 Stars

An elegant rather than blockbuster red with aromatic floral and red berry characters. What it lacks in intensity it more than makes up in power and extraordinary flavour length. Finely-tuned red that achieves a perfect balance of delicate sweet fruit with gently drying tannins. Great potential 7/6/2010

The most expensive wine in this tasting by a factor of two, but is it the best? This supremely elegant Cabernet Sauvignon doesn’t make a strong statement. It’s a powerful wine but the power is delivered with great finesse most easily measured by an extremely long finish. Quite oaky but with fruit to match. 24/6/2009
