Top maker + excellent vintage + outstanding wine. There’s rich dark berry and blackcurrant fruit on the nose and palate with fine firm tannins and integrated oak on the complex palate. It’s surprisingly approachable now, particularly with roast leg of lamb, but it should mature in the bottle for at least 10 years and probably longer.
