Moss Wood 2025 Amy’s Cuvee Blanc – Angus Hughson, The Vintage Journal
A superb Margaret River blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, both alluring and seductive. The split is 91% Semillon and 9% Sauvignon Blanc. Fermentation is finished in French oak barriques, before the wine spends another three months in maturation. A shimmering lemon-yellow hue, the nose weaves through a range of aromas, including spices, herbs, lemongrass, grapefruit, gooseberries, lemon curd, citrus, and a flick of passionfruit. Finely balanced, there is good focus and drive here, with impressive length. There is a hint of complexity already evident, and this should increase in the coming years. A cracking white blend which should provide excellent drinking for at least a decade. Drink now–2030
