A very attractive bouquet of dark red fruits centering on Doris plum then blackberry fruits – all wrapped up in a blanket of toasty oak – but not too much; medium complexity; there’s also a dense dark rose layer which adds complexity and a feminine charm; On the palate – dry with a velvet textured mix of dark red plums and black fruits, a touch of licorice and five spice; medium tannins and medium acidity; balanced, medium+ length and complexity. Balanced and well made.
This is a very charming and very approachable wine that lends itself to foods of a similar nature or after dinner post coffee – you’ll see what I mean when you do this.
