Like its Merlot brother from the same vineyard – it takes a while for this wine to give up its bouquet as well – with the same result: Lots of dark berries with blackberry and blue fruit aromas; a mix of hay, tobacco and baked bell-pepper; loads of oak with spice, new wood and sweetness, hints of brown sugar. On the palate – delicious, rich, full-bodied and packed with muscle; dark berry flavours, lots of oak loaded with vanilla and spices, fairly toasty; plenty of ripe tannins with typical nail point impact and medium acidity. Lengthy,  and well made.
