Gooseberry, quince, blackcurrant buds, ginger and cinnamon, mint, a bit of smokiness too. It’s mid-weight, glossy but saline and flinty, lemon zest and a whole lot of exotic spice, toasty oak and pink grapefruit, smooth and fleshy on a long nutty and clove spiced finish. Complex, worked, but very good in style. Better with a couple more years on it too, I’d suggest.
